The Lord is our salvation, What foe have we to fear? In darkness or temptation, True light and help are near. Tho’ Satan camps about us, The Lord with us shall fight; No force on earth can rout us– The Lord is always right.

On Christ we place reliance, Our Captain will not fail; To error bid defiance, Victorious living hail! The Lord our hearts will strengthen, His truth our faith increase; His wisdom, days shall lengthen For firmness grant us peace.
Verse 3
The Lord prepares a haven– We need no other rest; His word will guide us thither, His will is always best. In heav’n we’ll see His glory, His love and life enjoy; There, we maintain perfection In angel-like employ.
