Lyrics

Verse 1
Mourn not my passing on, dear friends, For I will be above, With sweet surcease in Jesus’ arms, Surrounded by His love.  There’ll be no more pain or strife for me, And no more toil or tears, When in the mansion God’s prepared, Away from earthly fears.
Verse 2
Take time to contemplate your end.  Oh, will I see you there? Will you accept His sacrifice Obediently with prayer? When we’ve come home at last, dear friend, We’ll see the Father’s face.  We’ll feel His welcome deep within, The beauty of His grace.
Verse 3
His faithfulness is worth the cost Of all our earthly pains.  Won’t you look past your present trials, Let God forgive sin’s stains? Our Father patiently waits for you, As He waits just for me. His loving arms stretch out to you. Come accept His fervent plea.
Verse 4
Allow the blood of Jesus Christ To cleanse sin from your soul. Resolve to live your life for Him, Make Heav’n your dearest goal. And then we’ll meet again, dear friend, When you complete your race. I’ll greet you soon, in just a while, As we see the Father’s face.
