Silent, O be silent, God knows what is best; May His will so perfect, in your heart be manifest. When along the road to glory, fear and grief attend thy way; God’s dear child must learn in silence to trust Jesus, come what may.

Silent, O be silent, heart, do not despair; Just when clouds are darkest, comes the sun in brightness rare. He who tasted death with Jesus, will with Him be raised above; And in that new life in heaven see the wonders of His love.

Silent, O be silent, never from Him roam; He who grants redemption, will escort thee safely home; Even tho’ on earth was hidden why so oft thy path depressed; There thine eyes will see quite clearly that, in love, God thereby blessed.
