Lyrics
Verse 1: O, Little One, upon the hay, How frail Thou art, and small! Thou tiny Infant lying there, And, yet, the Lord of All! Eternal Lord of All!
Verse 2: Thy throne has been exalted high Far, far above the heav’n, And yet Thou camest down to dwell Among the sons of men. The lowly sons of men.
Verse 3: The children of the sons of men Are wearing finest gold, But Thou art wrapped in swaddling bands And laid in manger cold. A lowly manger cold.
Verse 4: So feeble was the tiny Babe; Much feebler still are we. So help us, Lord, to draw our strength And sustenance from Thee. Forever, Lord, from Thee.
