How did God feel when His children of old Abandoned His ways and left His safe fold? They followed their own paths, and wandered in sin, Instead of obeying and trusting in Him. God’s anger was kindled, but mercies increased, Protecting their journey and bringing them peace.

How does God feel when He sent His own Son But men disbelieved, and evil was done? They crucified Jesus, and mocked His dear name Instead of receiving the truth He proclaimed. God’s sorrows were heavy but mercies increased, Forgiving their actions and off’ring them peace.
Verse 3
How does God feel when His children today Ignore His commands and go their own way? They chase their own passions and shun His rich grace, Instead of desiring His will to embrace. God’s heart may be broken, but mercies increase, Continually off’ring a way to His peace.
