Favorite Hymns Quartet

Favorite Hymns QuartetThe Favorite Hymns Quartet, a gospel male quartet who sang a cappella only, was founded in 1977 by the late R. J. Stevens (who sang the bass), along with his son, Tim Stevens (on the lead), Tim’s father-in-law, Don Mullins (1st tenor) and Dane Shepard (baritone).

Not only did the quartet sing many of the old favorite hymns of the past, but some of the hymns they recorded were written and arranged by R. J. Stevens and/or Dane Shepard.
