Lyrics
Verse 1: O Lord, You know when I sit down and when I rise each day. And Lord, you understand my tho’ts; You know about my ways. Before I say a single word, O Lord, you know my speech. Such knowledge is too wonderful, so high I cannot reach.
Verse 2: O Lord, where can I flee from You, the heavens or the deep? From east to west Your hand is there whereever I may sleep. If I say “darkness hides me well,” the night will shine as day. Such knowledge is too wonderful, so high I cannot say.
Verse 3: O Lord, You made my inward parts, my soul knows very well. My days were written in Your book before I came to dwell. How precious are Your tho’ts to me; if I can count them each, Such knowledge is too wonderful, so high I cannot reach.
